Acelen Renewables brings tangible energy transition solutions to COP30

November 2025 – Acelen Renewables, a Brazilian company owned by the Mubadala Capital fund, is present at COP30 and has taken a protagonist role in energy transition due to its solutions that combine industrial innovation, environmental regeneration, and social inclusion. Acelen Renewables is fulfilling an integrated agenda coordinated with the Brazilian Industry Conference (CNI) and its SB COP initiative, the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (AMCHAM), the federal government, and other international organizations.

During the conference, Acelen will be present in high-level forums and strategic side events addressing Brazil’s role in the new green economy, including debates on the carbon market, regenerative bioeconomy, and particularly sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), a central topic for Brazil and Acelen, which reinforces the country’s leading role in sustainable industrial solutions.

Among the events are debates and strategic panels that reinforce Acelen’s leadership in industrial innovation and energy transition, such as “Fueling the Future: Brazil’s Leadership in Sustainable Aviation Fuel” and “SB COP – Business Dialogue for a Low-Carbon Economy,” both on November 12, “Build Clean Now to Create Stronger, Resilient Economies”, on November 15, all held in the Blue Zone and official COP30 venues.

With investments of US$3 billion in its first integrated renewable fuel unit, Acelen Renewables consolidates the world’s largest project under development based on macauba, a native Brazilian plant. Cultivation on 180,000 hectares of degraded land has the potential to capture 60 million tons of CO2 and generate up to 85,000 jobs, promoting regional development, productive inclusion of family farmers, and injecting more than US$40 billion into the Brazilian economy over the next 10 years.

“At COP30, we will be with renowned institutions, governments, and international organizations to present tangible solutions that transform climate challenges into opportunities for sustainable development. It’s a long-term game, and those who plant today will reap the rewards in the future. Brazil has the best hand of card: productivity, biodiversity, science, and the capacity to produce clean energy for the world,” says Marcelo Lyra, Vice President of Communications, ESG, and Institutional Relations at Acelen, who is in Belém, closely following the discussions and actively participating in the negotiations and strategic forums at COP30.

Working with such partners as the Climate and Society Institute (iCS), Mission Possible Partnership, Systemiq, and Bradesco, Acelen Renewables intends to demonstrate, through measurable results, that energy transition can be a national development agenda, with a positive impact on employment, income, and competitiveness.

“The advancement of decarbonization policies, combined with the commitment among governments, companies, and society, is essential to consolidate Brazil’s leadership in the new green economy,” concludes Lyra.
